we’re heading to Bor Mountain (2,939 m a.s.l) in the breathtaking Yem Zone of Ethiopia for a one night camping and cultural adventure like no other!

📌 Bor Mountain 🏔️ formerly part of the Southern Region and now located in the Yem Zone of the Central Ethiopia Region, is a magnificent mountain situated about 270 kilometers from Addis Ababa along the Jimma road

This trip isn’t just about hiking.it’s about being part of something meaningful. Every year, the Yem people gathers on Bor Mountain to celebrate “Samo Eta,” a traditional medicine collection festival passed down for generations.

On the morning of October 27, thousands of people will hike up Bor Mountain to collect natural medicines and connect with the spirit of their ancestors. This is a powerful blend of nature and culture .and this year, we’re invited to join them!
